I don’t think we talk about Pollux from PJO enough.

This guy’s a son of Dionysus, the wide dude, a god that most people would consider the least valuable Olympian. Pollux can make grape and strawberry vines grow along with other plants. WHO WOULDN’T WANT PLANT SUPER POWERS?

He also loses his…

Castor & Pollux - The Gemini

Castor and Pollux (aka Polydeuces) were twin brothers in Greek mythology whose story is connected to the Gemini constellation.

Zeus impregnated their mother, Leda, when he was in the form of a swan. In the same day, Leda slept with her husband, Tyndareus, the King of Sparta and several months later, Leda laid two eggs. From the eggs hatched two sets of twins: Helen & Clytemnestra and Castor & Pollux. Castor and Clytemnestra were the mortal children of Tyndareus while Pollux and Helen were the immortal children of Zeus.

The twin brothers, also known as the Dioscuri, had many adventures together including rescuing their sister Helen from her first abductor and joining Jason’s voyage of the Argo.

When Castor died, Pollux opted to share his immortality with his brother and they were both raised to the stars. Together they make up the Gemini constellation.
